Wood Name Tags & Conference Badges
Give everyone the recognition they deserve. Your guests and employees will feel special with a name tag that isn’t a cheap, plastic pin or the usual sticker that says, “Hello, my name is.” And imagine their reaction getting a conference badge that isn’t a tacky plastic sleeve on a lanyard.
We offer three styles of name tags and conference badges: magnetic, lanyard, or bolo tie. Great options for conferences, corporate events, retail stores, restaurants, and trade shows.
Wood name tags
Our most popular and cost-effective option are cut by laser from 1/8 inch thick wood with a magnet on the back.
Lanyard style name badges
Perfect for conferences or corporate events. Available in wood or acrylic. Most of our customers sources their own ribbon or straps with clips for the name badges to hang from. (Please note that we do not produce branded straps.)
Bolo tie style name badges
This style of a name badge has a metal clasp on the back that string or rope is threaded through. The allows the badge to be adjusted up or down the length of the string. (Please note that sourcing the hardware for this option has a longer lead time.)
Details for tag names and badges
Wood pricing: Birch is included in our standard prices. We also offer basswood, cherry, maple, alder, or walnut with the additional cost added with no markup.
Acrylic pricing: This material comes in a variety of colors. We pass the cost along with no markup.
Other materials: We keep a supply of magnets in stock. Any lanyard or bolo tie hardware is ordered from outside suppliers when an order is placed with us. We pass the cost of these materials along with no markup.
Assembly: We do not charge to apply the magnetic backing to wood name tags. However, we do charge an additional fee to assembly lanyards or bolo tie style name badges.
Unique shapes and sizes: We can also do custom dimensions for an additional cost.
File set up charge: If you supply your own design, this covers the time it takes to convert your file for production. If you do not provide your own design file, we can also add your logo and text at no additional charge. (See design file requirements on our FAQ page.)
Custom design: We can also create a unique, custom design for a fixed cost that includes one round of revisions.

They requested a bolo tie style designed to match their invitations. We produced the wooden pieces and the couple glued them onto the bolo tie hardware to come in under their budget.
CreativeMornings Global Summit
With volunteers flying in from around the world, this organization wanted a wow factor with name badges that also visually communicated what country each attendee was from. They designed a unique bolo tie style with color-coded details. We produced the die-cut, wooden layers and their staff assembled the pieces by glueing them together with rope and felt in between.
